Happy Valley Hong Kong
The Happy Valley is the first racecourse in Hong Kong. This racecourse was built by filling the marsh land and the first horserace held was in 1846. Even when Hong Kong was under Japanese occupation, the horserace was held in the racecourse. The horserace season begins from September every year and continues till June the next year.
There is a huge computer screen and different types of advanced facilities in the racecourse. In the Happy Valley, both locals and expatriates have their homes. Many restaurants and café are situated along the Shing Wo Road and on the side streets.
