Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong International Airport is also known as Chek Lap Kok Airport is the major airport in Hong Kong. Since the airport is built on the Chek Lap Kok’s Islands by reclamation and also to differentiate it from its precursor, the Kai Tak Airport, the airport was named as Chek Lap Kok Airport. Hong Kong International Airport has won several awards and popularities.
It has won seven Skytrax World Airport Awards for the for customer satisfaction in just 10 years. In 2009 HKIA ranked second and in 2010 it ranked third for the Skytrax World Airport Awards. However it remains the best airport considering passenger numbers annually. Hong Kong International Airport also operates one of the largest passenger terminal buildings in the world and operates 24 hours a day.
