Hong Kong language
About 95% of the population of Hong Kong speaks Cantonese, Chinese dialect and English is official language spoken within this region. Hong Kong is land where several religious beliefs exist together like Chinese, Christians, Jews, Muslims and Hindus, each having their own set of languages.
The Chinese population speaks mainly Mandarin and English is taught as second official language in schools. The basis of Hong Kong language are Chinese typescripts which are identified with pictographs, composite forms, clear noted characters, pictophonetic lettering, phonic typesetting and descriptive characters. Hong Kong language is a dialect which is phonetically sound as well as rich in vocabulary.
